Electronic Resources & Information Technology

The Electronic Resources and Information Technology (ERIT) department is responsible for developing service programs within the Libraries for electronic media; exploring, selecting, and implementing new technologies; writing and supporting custom programs; desktop and server hardware support and maintenance; software selection, installation, customization, and support; the maintenance and development of the library catalog; digital projects; and building and maintaining databases and custom front ends.

ERIT has created a number of cutting-edge inventions, many of which have been adopted by other libraries nationwide. At last count, the members of ERIT have spoken at over 500 conferences and workshops and have authored over 100 articles and chapters.
