Interlibrary Loan

Get text notification! UNCG students, faculty, and staff can now get text notices when their requested items are ready. To begin receiving text notifications, login to the Interlibrary Loan Request web page, choose "Personal Information" under the Tools section, and follow the instructions.

What is ILL?

ILL is only one of the University Libraries delivery services. When needed research materials are unavailable at UNCG, students, staff, and faculty members may request them through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Interlibrary Loan makes it possible for researchers to obtain books and electronic copies of articles from libraries around the world. Please note: ILL does not typically borrow textbooks. Our office is located in the far corner of the Jackson Library Reading Room. Phone: 336-334-5849. Fax: 336-334-5097

Who can order?

All UNCG students, staff, and faculty members can use Interlibrary Loan.

How do I get my order?

When your book comes in, an e-mail and/or text message, depending on how you set up your personal information in your ILL account, will be sent to you to notify you of its arrival. You can also log into ILLiad to check on the status of your request. When available, student, faculty, and staff members in the School of Music, may pick up and return them at the Checkout Desk in the Harold Schiffman Music Library. Otherwise, they may be picked up and returned at the Checkout Desk in Jackson Library. Please do not return ILL items in the book drops.  Articles and chapters received in electronic formats will be emailed to you directly.
