Display Case Policy

Scheduling
Only officially recognized student groups, UNCG departments, and organizations affiliated with UNCG may use the display cases in Jackson Library. Faculty and staff members, departments, groups, and organizations are welcome to request to have displays that are class, research, campus life, or curriculum related. Please note that all requests must be approved by the University Libraries.

Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. They can be made up to six months in advance. Displays are to be put up on the morning of the first day and must be completely removed by noon on the final day. If items are not installed by the second day, the Libraries reserve the right to reserve the space for someone else. If items are not removed within that time frame, the Libraries reserve the right to dispose of them.

Display Content
Jackson Library is not responsible for any items placed in the cases. All cases remain locked for the duration of the display. Please note that items selected for the Portico cases should be able to withstand condensation and sunlight.

  • I agree that I will be responsible for setting up the display and taking it down.
  • I understand that neither the university nor the library is responsible for any damage incurred while the materials are on display in the library.
  • I understand that the Libraries reserve the right to review all displays and that materials may be removed if judged inappropriate.
  • I understand that if items are not installed or provided by the 2nd date of the request the Libraries reserve the right to reserve the space to someone else.
