University Archives & Manuscripts supports the teaching, research and public service missions of the University Libraries by collecting, preserving, organizing, and making accessible the often unique or rare materials that document the history of our university and the Piedmont Triad region. We also house the Betty H. Carter Women Veterans Historical Project.
As part of our commitment to archival outreach, we deliver presentations and teach classes; lead campus tours; construct on-site and online exhibits; conduct oral history interviews; and assist students, faculty, staff and the general public with research questions relating to our collections.
The University Archives is proud to announce the completion of a timeline which chronicles the history of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro from its founding in 1891 to the present day. The Timeline of UNCG History includes interesting facts, archival photographs, and other related media documenting significant events in the University's development. As an ongoing project, the Timeline will continue to expand and include new media and facts. If you have any questions, please contact University Archives staff.
