Instructional Services

Reference librarians provide research instruction through classroom workshops or individual consultations. We offer orientation tours at the beginning of each semester. We also create helpful guides to library resources, like our course guides and research tutorial, Finding It.

Consultations With Faculty

Librarians are happy to work one-on-one with faculty to help them make better use of the University Libraries and its resources. If you are undertaking a major research project, preparing a library assignment, or need individualized help using the print or on-line sources in the University Libraries, contact us to schedule an appointment. Librarians can assist you with research strategies, using the University Libraries' collections, and accessing on-line information. They can also help with using grant resources and developing library assignments for your students. Find the librarian with expertise in your subject area. Contact the reference desk to schedule a consultation with a reference librarian and take advantage of the services that they offer.

Consultations with Students

Librarians are happy to work one-on-one with students or with small groups working on a class project. If you are undertaking a research project or just need individualized help using library resources, contact us to schedule an appointment. While the librarian cannot do your research for you, they can assist you with research strategies, using the University Libraries' collections, and accessing on-line information. Contact the reference desk to schedule a consultation.
