Services for Alumni
UNCG alumni are welcome to visit the University Libraries, where they may access hundreds of databases and thousands of ejournals, use our extensive book collection, search the online catalog, and use our “Ask Us” service.
Database Access
Alumni who are able to visit the University Libraries in person are welcome to use nearly all of our online databases and electronic journals at dedicated open-access and researcher workstations within both Jackson Library and the Harold Schiffman Music Library. If you have specific questions about which resources are available to visitors, please ask online or at any service desk.
Alumni who are North Carolina residents can also access nearly 100 online databases and many other electronic resources for free from home via NC LIVE. This access is provided to you through your local North Carolina Public Library.
Print Borrowing Privileges
Generally speaking, Alumni and members of the general public can use our collections within Jackson Library and Schiffman Music Library. We also offer print material borrowing privileges to Alumni through the programs described on our borrowing privileges page.
University Archives
The University Archives contain UNCG yearbooks, the Carolinian, and numerous other publications and artifacts relating to the University’s history.
