Burgin Abroad: Women’s Relationships and Nourishing Communities in Liberia

Join us on Wednesday, March 26rd at 3pm in the Hodges Reading Room for a presentation by Class of 1974 alumna and retired faculty member of the Department of Nutrition, B. Burgin Ross. This lecture focuses on Burgin’s time in the Peace Corps and the relationships she built with the Liberian women of the Juarzon community while helping to improve the nutrition and health standards of the villagers.
This presentation accompanies the current exhibit in the Hodges Reading Room, Burgin Abroad: Women’s Relationships and Nourishing Communities in Liberia, featuring artifacts gifted to and acquired by Burgin during her time in Liberia.
