For this week’s Renovation Review post, we wanted to remind everyone on campus of the availability of study space in Jackson Library and in the Music Library. There is plenty of room for students, faculty, and staff to work in either library, and we encourage you to visit!

In particular, we wanted to highlight the Spartan Study Spot, located on the second floor of Jackson Library. This is a former staff work area that was converted into a massive group study space for students. The faculty and staff of the University Libraries recognized the need for more space during the renovation’s first phase, and so the Technical Services department was moved across the hall.

There are many other study spots both in the libraries and on campus. We have compiled a few suggestions into this guide, which we welcome you to explore and to share with others; the guide also includes our official Spartan Study playlist on Spotify! If you have suggestions for spots that are not yet included in the guide, please email rcsander@uncg.edu.

Happy studying, Spartans!
