John Molony, testamentary executor of the last will and testament of Malinda Burger, a free woman of color, petitions to have "an inventory and appraisement of the effects" in the succession of the deceased taken by "competent authority." Molony also prays that Winney, a free woman of color and Melinda Burger's "universal legatee and heir," be notified of the time and place.
