Abstract
Rebecca Rathal, widow and administratrix of Thomas Rathal, states that Phillip D. Fiddeman holds Araminta Kimmey and Araminta's infant daughter Sally as his slaves. Rathal, serving as Araminta's next friend, apprehends "that the said Araminta and the said Sally are both entitled" to their freedom. She therefore asks that Fiddeman be summoned "to answer to the complaint of your petitioner."
