William Thompson, administrator of the estate of the late John Thompson, asks the court's permission to finish the crop of corn and cotton planted during the spring of 1860. Thompson states that he has hired additional laborers and requests that the five field hands belonging to the estate be kept on the farm during the year and that he be authorized to pay "all such sums of money as may be necessary in and about the finishing gathering &c of said Crop."
