Abstract
Margaret Creek says that she is "the daughter of Rachel who was the daughter of an Indian woman named Moll or Mary," a free woman. Although Margaret "has been entitled to Freedom from her birth," she is "deprived thereof & held as a Slave by William Wilkins of the Town of Baltimore." Margaret asks the court to subpoena Wilkins and to remedy her situation "as may seem right."
