John and Thomas Clark own a slave named James Dill who is being held in the public jail at Dover "for his bad conduct and threats." The Clarks believe Dill "to be a dangerous boy in the neighbourhood" and that he "was ready to do any thing but take life, Burn houses or any thing." They ask permission to sell Dill either in or out of the state.
