Abstract
Nancy Jones asserts that she is a free woman of color, illegally "committed to the Prison of Washington," and unable to obtain a copy of her commitment. Jones was apprenticed by her father George Jones for four years to James Mullinix [Mullinax] to learn to be a house servant and cook. Jones seeks a writ of habeas corpus.
