James McKenny laments that his "very valuable Negro fellow" ran away in March 1821 and that a few weeks later "a young man (a youth) ... was hunting & your petitioners fellow came walking up to him when he shot him." The petitioner, "desirous of a remedy for compensation and being poor and almost blind," prays to be granted "such relief as in your wisdom may deem fit."
Result: Referred to claims committee; rejected.
