Returning Library Materials
Non-Contact Returning Options: Book Drops, U.S. Mail & Other Carriers
Book Drops:
All materials can be returned in our book drops. Please insert materials gently, spine first. Please be sure that ILL wrappers are attached to ILL materials.
Please note that the Stirling St. and Jackson Library indoor drops are emptied daily when Jackson Library is open. All others may not be emptied on weekends.
- Stirling St. in front of the Walker Ave. Parking Deck and Campus Ministries.
- Corner of North Dr. and McIver St.
- Spring Garden St. in front of the Vacc Bell Tower.
- School of Music – inside the entrance facing the McIver parking deck.
- Jackson Library – on the first floor across from the Checkout Desk and at the College Ave. entrance.
U.S. Mail and Other Carriers:
Materials returned in this manner will be counted as returned on the date of postage. We strongly suggest that all shipments include tracking and insurance. When returning by campus mail, please include a note with the date mailed inside.
Request an electronic prepaid UPS return shipping label:
- Submit this UPS Shipping Label request form. A label will be emailed to you as staffing and workload allows.
- While the library will pay the shipping fees, you will be responsible for any costs associated with physical packaging. Please feel free to return your items in the original packaging the library used to ship you the materials.
- A tracking number is included on the label.
Ship by the carrier of your choice:
- Ship at your own expense.

Please make sure that all packages are:
- Packaged and padded appropriately. If shipping equipment or breakables, please make sure that packages are marked as fragile.
- Please be sure that original Interlibrary Loan wrappers are attached to ILL materials.
