As we end the month of April, we have good momentum with the renovation project. The removal of items in the tower is ongoing with the demolition and abatement contractors. As they make progress inside the building, the fence setup has reached completion outside. In the next few weeks, a material hoist will be installed to more easily bring items in and out of the building. Those on campus will see it when approaching from the Walker Parking Deck and Kaplan Commons. Also, systems like the fire alarm, generator, and chiller are all being worked on to ensure the library can continue to operate without interruptions. Be on the lookout for updates throughout the summer as our project continues to pick up steam!
