UNCG’s annual Fall Break happened earlier this week. While students were away, we were busy in the Main Library making changes to make traveling between the library tower and the 1950s brick building a little bit easier. The main corridor between the two buildings was widened, which will ultimately allow better passage between the two sides for students, faculty, staff, and other Main Library users at the conclusion of the renovation. This change is a major improvement which will benefit both structural sides of the library and will allow the lower level to be more accessible than it was previously. While the work that took place this week was quite noisy, it was the perfect task to tackle during the Fall Break period. We appreciate the continued patience of our users as we make the Main Library a better and safer place for all.
