The Scholarly Work of Digital Libraries
On October 17, 2005, Sarah Michalak, University Librarian and Associate Provost for University Libraries at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will speak on "The Scholarly Work of Digital Libraries" in the Alexander Room of the Elliott University Center at 2 p.m. Michalak was previously director of the University of Utah's J. Willard Marriott Library. Prior to that, she served in a variety of capacities at the University of Washington. Michalak received her M.L.S. from the University of California at Los Angeles and has served on the boards of the Association of Research Libraries and the Library Administration and Management Association and has been active in the American Library Association, the Association of College and Research Libraries, and the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition.
