Renovation of Administration Building (now Foust) was completed. This was the last project to be completed before the Great Depression. During the Depression, enrollment dropped one-third, faculty salaries were cut, dormitories closed, and almost all campus expansion was delayed.

The first dance on campus for couples, the Junior-Senior Prom, was held.

Eugene Davis Owen was the first male student to receive a master's degree from the College.
