The second campus Heating Plant was completed near the corner of Oakland Avenue and Forest Street.

In the fall, the dairy farm moved from its location adjacent to the campus to the 250-acre farm purchased by the College on Friendly Road in Guilford County.

South Dining Hall - a wing of Spencer's dining hall complex - opened.
