Carnegie Library

Carnegie Library opened. This library, along with three others in Greensboro, was built with money donated by Andrew Carnegie.

The first class to enter as candidates for degrees enrolled.

Cornelia Strong joined the Department of Math. During her tenure, she introduced astronomy into the curriculum and supervised operation of the College's telescope.

The first Heating Plant and adjoining Laundry were built near the intersection of Walker Avenue and McIver Street.
