Each year, the UNCG University Libraries Staff Association facilitates our “Holiday Giving Project,” where we choose an organization for which to raise money. This year, the chosen organization is the Spartan Open Pantry (SOP). Every financial gift will be matched dollar for dollar up to $500, allowing our goal to be $1,000 raised for the Spartan Open Pantry. Thank you to an anonymous supporter for this match!

Description from the SOP website:
“The Spartan Open Pantry is a food pantry for UNC Greensboro students, staff, and recent alumni struggling to afford to eat. Open Monday to Thursday each week, the pantry provides free, high-quality foods for needy Spartans.
Wesley-Luther, a Methodist and Lutheran Non-profit at UNC Greensboro, is proud to have founded the Spartan Open Pantry and now oversees its operations. From students who need a little help at the end of the month to homeless students and families who depend on the pantry for complete support, the SOP assists our neighbors who need a hand.”
