The University Libraries include the Walter Clinton Jackson Library and the Harold Schiffman Music Library in the School of Music. Our library catalog also includes the holdings of the Michel Family Teaching Resources Center, located in the School of Education.
- The University Libraries’ collections include one million print books and other print material. We provide access to 125,000 ejournals and 1.3 million ebooks. Our library catalog provides access to nearly 150,000 streaming films and audio files, and our print and electronic materials were used 7.6 million times in the past year.
- Jackson Library is currently undergoing a $98 million, three-year renovation that will double the library’s patron space and nearly double its seating capacity.
- Since the pandemic, an average of over 200,000 people per year have visited Jackson Library and the Harold Schiffman Music Library in-person and millions of virtual “visitors” accessed our online resources, collections, and services.
- We have answered an average of over 45,000 questions per year over the past 10 years and provide over 500 subject-specific and general classes, consultations, and tours to more than 10,000 University students, faculty, staff, and members of the community annually.
