Last week, we were honored to host Chancellor Frank Gilliam and Provost Alan Boyette as part of a group touring the site of the Jackson Library tower renovation. Our partners from Skanska, the construction company completing the renovation, gave the group a helpful overview of the process so far and reviewed upcoming plans. The group was able to see several floors, including the main level where a new western entrance is being built. University Libraries Dean Mike Crumpton and Facilities Manager Will Cook were also on hand to answer questions and to view progress on the project. The University Libraries are grateful to Skanska for their hard work on this critical upgrade to our central facility, and we also wish to express gratitude to the Chancellor and Provost for their continued support of our efforts to make Jackson Library into an improved space for students, faculty, and staff to read, learn, explore, and create here on UNCG’s campus.

Special thanks to UNCG’s University Communications team for capturing excellent images and video footage on site!
