Visual Stories
Overview
As part of our goal to collect, preserve, and make accessible unique and historical materials for learning and research, we are excited to launch Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) Visual Stories!
On this page, you will be able to explore different interactive visual storytelling modules, including timelines and StoryMaps. Each of these modules explores a different aspect of history connected to our major curatorial areas and outreach focus, from theatre and music, to cookery and North Carolina regions.
Our major curatorial areas are: rare books; cello music; manuscripts; children’s literature collections; university archives; women’s literature collections; photographs, prints, and poster collections; book art and book bindings; artifacts and textiles collections; and the women veterans historical project. We are expanding our collections in LGBTQ, African American history collections, and Latinx collections.
