Charles Duncan McIver (1860-1906)

  • Founder and First President of the State Normal and Industrial School
  • President 1891-1906
  • In 1897 the name of the school changed to the State Normal and Industrial College

Julius Isaac Foust (1865-1946)

  • Second President of the State Normal and Industrial College
  • President 1906-1934
  • In 1919 the name changed to North Carolina College for Women
  • In 1932 as a result of consolidation the name changed to the Woman’s College of the University of North Carolina

Walter Clinton Jackson (1879-1959)

  • Third head of the College
  • Chancellor 1934-1950
  • In 1934 Jackson was given the title Dean of Administration of the Woman’s College of the University of North Carolina
  • In 1945 his title was changed to Chancellor of the Woman’s College of the University of North Carolina
