Consider applying for the 2025-2026 Martha Blakeney Hodges Fellowship Program in the University Libraries! The application deadline for the program is Friday, March 7 at 5pm EST.

About The Fellowship Program

Sponsored by the Martha Blakeney Hodges Special Collections and University Archives, this program seeks to provide undergraduate and graduate students at UNC Greensboro with a hands-on learning opportunity in archives and academic librarianship. The Hodges Fellowship Program is a 9-month (August through April), paid learning opportunity. Each student will be provided a stipend of $3000 per semester ($6000 per year). An additional $300 per student will be allocated for professional conference registration or other expenses related to the completion and dissemination of their final project. Hodges Fellows will build invaluable skills under close mentorship and training from our archivists in a transformative, unique experience unlike any other available on campus.

Who Can Apply?

The Martha Blakeney Hodges Fellowship Program is open to UNCG undergraduate and graduate students in any academic discipline. Students must be enrolled for both the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 academic semesters in order to apply. Prior work experience in a library or archives is not required, although students with a demonstrated interest in a library, archives, or public history career are preferred.
