This tutorial is based on the F.I.R.S.T: Finding it! A Research Skills Tutorial, created by Lisa Roberts in 2000 but expanded upon and updated. It was created collaboratively by several UNCG Libraries Staff: Beth Filar Williams (Distance Education Librarian), Amy Harris (Information Literacy Librarian), Jenny Dale (First-Year Instruction Librarian), and Vanessa Apple (Library IT programmer). Also thanks for assistance from Dick Cox and Danny Nanez.
We graciously thank the students who volunteered their time to act in the video clips, especially our star Kayla Carr for her time commitment and numerous appearances, and including in alphabetical order: Lauren Foster, Christina Mayhand, Callie Moss, Shade Oyemakinwa, Mendy Ozan, Erin Sapienza, Jeremy Washburn, and Daniel Windham.
Also thanks for their star appearances to Dr Brett Carter (Associate Dean of Students at UNCG), Matt Mullins (UNCG English Dept TA), Will Dodson (UNCG English Dept TA), and Jennifer Whitaker (Assistant Director of the UNCG Writing Center).
For our Extras: Jason Alston, Katherine Nunnally, Jennifer Ormsby, and playing the professor, Mark Schumacher.
And lastly, but very importantly, thanks to the camera crew, key grip and boom mic operators: Cheryl Cross and Keith Buckner.
