Abstract
James Fulkerson purchased a 24-year-old man named Shade for $500 from Joab Slone In April 1849. Fulkerson charges that Slone made the sale knowing that Shade was chronically ill. Shade died in April 1850, and Fulkerson seeks to attach Slone's "9 or 10/12th" interest in another slave, Sampson.
