Abstract

Daniel McCleland asks the court to grant an order restraining William J. Tunstall from removing two slaves from the state. Tunstall mortgaged Sophia and Fanny as security for the payment of rents and now, fearing that McCleland is about to foreclose on the mortgage, has taken them out of the county.
