Willoughby Manning is the administrator of the estate of Leary C. Manning. Willoughby claims that, "owing to the emancipation of the slaves formerly owned by his intestate," it will be necessary to sell the perishable property of the estate, in order to settle among the heirs. He seeks the permission of the court to sell this property.
