Abstract
Abraham Jackson, a resident of Georgia, seeks to foreclose on a mortgage made to him by Joshua W. Saxon, in which Saxon mortgaged five slaves as security for $485 in promissory notes. The plaintiff states that the debt "still remains due & owing" and requests that a writ of attachment be issued to prevent Saxon from taking the slaves beyond the jurisdiction of the court.
