Abstract

William G. Clark states "that he is entitled to the foreclosure" of a mortgage made by William West on 18 January 1840, wherein West mortgaged ten-year-old Tom and seven-year-old Jim to secure a debt of $570.18. Noting that $340 is still owed on said debt, Clark prays that William West "may be forever foreclosed and barred of and from his ... right or equity of redemption of in and to said mortgaged property."
