Abstract

Frederick Towle asks the court to foreclose upon a mortgage executed to him by David F. Wilson. Wilson mortgaged four slaves -- Henry, Arthur, George, and Jerry -- to secure the payment of a promissory note of $2,400. Towle states that the debt is still outstanding having "long since become due and payable."
