Abstract
Green H. Chaires asks the court to foreclose on the loan he made to Charles C. Ash. Chaires loaned $300 to Ash, who put up his slave Dublin as collateral. Chaires states that "all which said sum of three hundred dollars with interest ... remain due and unpaid." He therefore prays that Ash "may be forever foreclosed and bared of and from his ... right or equity of redemption in the said mortgaged property."
