John Ham seeks permission to export and sell "Roger a man grown, and Thomas about sixteen years old," slaves who have committed "divers acts of Felony," for which "they have received corporal punishment." Ham informs the court that "in addition to the above circumstance, the said Roger and Thomas are of disorderly and disobedient behaviour to your petitioner, notwithstanding the kind and benevolent treatment of your petitioner."
