| Abstract: | John Anderson informs the court that his wife, Elizabeth Anderson, “whilst Sole and unmarried,” was “lawfully possessed as her own property of a certain negro man Slave named William,” valued at $1,000. Elizabeth "casually lost" said slave, who came into the possession of William Goff.
