John Price of Kent County, Delaware, purchased three slaves in Maryland: Samuel, age about thirty-eight; Charlotte, about twenty-two; and Fanny, about forty-five. He "solicits your honorable body to take his case into consideration and enact a law authorizing him to remove from the aforesaid State of Maryland the above named negro slaves into this State and retain them as such."
