S. H. Hodson moved from Maryland to Kent County, Delaware. Hodson states that he inherited twelve slaves "together with some children ... the number, or names, not at this time recollected by your petitioner, all of which, the subscriber prays your Honors, to authorise him to bring into this state, and to hold and retain them as slaves."
