Digital Library on American Slavery Advisory Board
The Digital Library on American Slavery Advisory Board is a small, informal group of interested individuals brought together by invitation. The board will endeavor to promote the best interests of the Digital Library on American Slavery through their advice, experiences, and expertise. To that end, the advisory board shall work with the Digital Technology Consultant and Chair in overseeing and making recommendations regarding such items as:
- Additional datasets for potential acquisition
- Project outreach to the genealogical and academic communities
- Direction of the Digital Library on American Slavery as a whole
- Potential funding approaches and opportunities, including via grants or microfunding

Meetings, Agenda, and Minutes
The Digital Library on American Slavery Advisory Board shall convene at least once per year. A quorum of any meeting shall consist of a majority of its members. Committee members may participate by teleconference.
The chair, in collaboration with the Advisory Board as a whole, is responsible for establishing the agendas for meetings. An agenda, together with relevant materials, will be sent to members in advance of each meeting. The advisory board maintains minutes of all of its actions and meetings.
