I first read Dr. Sagan's book (at the ripe old age of 8) shortly after being enraptured by his PBS series of the same name. While most of the technical and scientific descriptors were far above my head, it opened my mind to the vast wonders of the universe, both large and small. I have re-read Cosmos several times over the years, and it never ceases to inspire those same feelings of childlike wonder.
