Rosann V. Bazirjian, Dean of University Libraries

  • Provides leadership and management for the University Libraries advancing the University Libraries' role in the educational, service and research missions of the University
  • Member of the Academic Affairs Deans Council
  • Member of The Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition(SPARC)Steering Committee

Beth R. Bernhardt, Assistant Dean for Collection Management and Scholarly Communications

  • Provides leadership and supervision of the Acquisitions and Cataloging departments
  • Provides supervision for the selection and management of collections, including the collections budget
  • Provides leadership and coordinates collection development activities
  • Educates the campus about Scholarly Communications issues and services

Tim Bucknall, Assistant Dean for Electronic Resources and Information Technology

  • Provides leadership and supervision for the Electronic Resources and Information Technologies Department
  • Leads and coordinates the Carolina Consortium
  • Member of several NC LIVE committees
  • Chairs the Electronic Resources Subcommittee

Linda Burr, Director of Development

  • Manages donor relations
  • Cultivates and stewards major and planned gifts

  • Provides leadership for Friends of the Libraries development activities
  • Coordinates donor events

Kathy M. Crowe, Associate Dean for Public Services

  • Responsible for all public services including Reference and Instructional Services, Access Services and the Harold Schiffman Music Library
  • Expanding the outreach program to Student Services and Student Affairs groups
  • Working with Reference and Instrutional Services to expand information literacy in the curriculum and assess it
  • Developing an assessment plan for the Libraries

Melvina C. Ray-Davis, Executive Assistance to the Dean

  • Maintains excutive adminstrative schedule
  • Coordinates library meetings and events
  • Supports Library Staff Association and other organizations

Karen M. Ward, Business Officer

  • Operate and manage budgets and endowed/trust funds including payroll
