The Book Lover's Road Show

Jack Walsdorf

Dust off that old book and bring it to be appraised by antiquarian book appraiser, collector, and lecturer Jack Walsdorf on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Alexander Room, Elliott University Center, UNCG Campus.

The afternoon begins with a brief talk on the relationship between libraries and book collecting in the Alexander Room, followed by individual appraisals by Mr. Walsdorf (2 books maximum, please), in the Hodges Reading Room on the second floor of Jackson Library, which is adjacent to the Elliott University Center through the new connector.

Staff from the University Libraries and the Friends of the UNCG Libraries will be available to assist you in answering your questions about book collecting and offer tours of the Library.

Books from the Library of Mary Jarrell will be for sale to benefit the University Libraries at UNCG.

Reservations are strongly suggested, as appraisals will be limited to the first 100 people who register.
