Full Text: Dear Mom:

Glad to finally hear from you and to know everything is alright. I got a lovely box of fruit from Mary Fehy yesterday - (we ate it all at one time). Well, I won't be writing very often any more, because I shall be so busy I don't know which way to turn. Eureka - my promotion will go thru as soon as there is an opening - which means something. But best of all - I love my work - (which it looks as though I shall have for the duration.) Now let me tell you why I shall be so busy -

I'll still have charge of the office work and then I shall be out inspecting the different files and now - something really new - I'm starting to teach classes this week - or as soon as I can get the material organized - to soldiers! What do you think of that? I shall be teaching office work - the filing of tech orders - the whole process of Air Corps forms - Aren't you proud of your daughter? I'm pleased with myself. It will be something new in the 2nd Air Force and new in the WAC's too - so pray that I'm a success at it - because if it succeeds -who knows but the system might be adapted by the whole Air Force - and maybe I'll go places too! It was my suggestion and has the fullest & highest approbation of the officers of the base. I shall be nervous at first - I even suggest to Lt Billoh (?) he assign the M/Sgt in the office to teach and he said no - I knew more about files than anyone in the office - and I suggested it so - I would teach it. So I shall be busy - very busy setting up classes. So please inform everyone that for a while I won't write for awhile.

By the way did Ikie hear any more about my iron? - and what about the Xmas cards? Well, I have to get back to work and just wish me loads of luck.

Love, Marcelle
