Full Text: Dear Folks -

Just have a few minutes now before we go to class again. Last night the whole company went to see Bob Hope and I'm so tired I could drop. Got up at 5 o'clock - went to mass - came back and got dressed and then had to go down town for a specialist class interview. Then we didn't get home from the show until 12:30 so you can imagine how tired everyone of us is. The show was really good, we rode down to the coliseum in jeeps, was cold, but we had loads of fun. First real entertainment we've had.

Tomorrow morning at 5:45 I have to report for K.P. duty again. Seems like I'm on it every week. Darn just found out we are having another fire drill - wish I could lay down for a month. Well, here I am in class again for our last hour. This week we have had about six exams. I never have had to cram so much before. Every one seems to expect a sudden change again. Some of the girls were notified they are leaving Fri for radio school at Kansas City. The army is full of the unexpected.

Well, if nothing else goes awry I shall be home Sat. at about 9:30. My train Hiawatha at 8:30. Hope everything goes okay so you can plan on me being home. Tell Ike - so she'll be there - cause I want to see her. Hope everyone is well. How is Pa? Is [sic] Veron's kids better? Haven't heard much from the family lately. Hope soon to get time to write some letters. Well, the teacher is giving me dirty looks so guess I better close - Until Saturday then lots of love. I wouldn't be surprised if I were in Texas by Xmas.

Oh, I'm bringing some of my dirty shirts home to wash - this darn water is so hard nothing gets clean - So you better get the old scrub board ready for me and my nice springy bed. By the way I haven't done any shopping but have yours and Pa's present so get the Old Santa Claus out so we can celebrate.

Love to all, Marcelle
