Full Text: Dearest Mother & Daddy,

Well, I’m having the most wonderful time to-day. It’s my day off, the first in 3 months, & I’m spending it here at the new nurses club. Its just perfect. I came out last night about 5 P.M. We had a swim & went for a boat ride about 3 miles out. Then we took a shower & dressed for dinner. We brought our own food, & fixed it ourselves. We had toasted cheese sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, pickles, olives & punch. They have tables outside where we ate.

The club is right on the beach. I’ve taken some pictures. Hope they turn out good.

This morning I slept until 9:00 o’clock. It was wonderful. Then we got up & had breakfast served to us in the club. We had fresh eggs, toast, fruit juice & coffee. After breakfast we went out on the beach had a swim, & took some pictures, then just lay around on the beach.

About 11:30 we fixed more sandwiches & had dinner on the beach. It’s about 2 P.M. now.

We have nice little rooms, 3 to a room for 2 pesos a night, apiece.

I’m getting quite a nice tan to-day too. This place is just so nice, to have somewhere to come to & relax. They have a ping-pong table, dance floor, & booths in the club. We can run around in our shorts or bathing suits all day. It’s simply out of this world. Just perfect. Five of us came out together. Mary K. was one of them. She’s been out of the hospital for about a week.

I’m going on night duty Sunday night- (the 26th) for 2 weeks.

Guess this is all for now. I want to write to Louis, & we have to be ready to go back at 4:45. I also want to swim for a while too.

Lots of love, Annie Edith
