Full Text: Dearest Mother & Daddy,

I’m so excited & terribly happy I don’t know what to do. This afternoon about 3:30, I got the wonderful news about Louis. Gee, but it feels like a weight has been lifted right out from inside me. It’s so good know that well & safe.

The message came through McArthurs headquarters & was dated April 13th. I just keep wondering when you all got the news. I can’t seem think of anything else to write, I’m too excited. I’m well though & very, very happy. Hope you all are feeling good.

Love, Annie Edith
