Description: Service cap worn by members of the Red Cross and Army Nurse Corps during World War I. The cap is upturned at the brim and cinched at the top, with a black ribbon tied in a bow around the crown. Above the bow, a Red Cross pin is affixed, which would remain there if she entered the Army Nurse Corps from the Red Cross Reserve.
