Description: American Women's Voluntary Services blue uniform with military-style blouse with four buttons embossed with "A.W.V.S.," two patch pockets, and two pocket flaps, and shoulder straps, circa 1942. Left shoulder sleeve has the AWVS patch, the "War Savings Staff AWVS" patch, a "Long Island" location tab, "Guide Service" tab, and three service bars indicating three years of service. This now faded uniform was once a blue-gray shade.
